Toyota FJ Cruiser Supplants Pontiac Aztek as Ugliest Car in America

You’d need some serious beer goggles to fall in love with this thing.
With the Pontiac Aztek no longer being produced, there was a vacancy atop RedRenee.com’s “ugliest car in America” list. We had considered nominating the Honda Element for awhile but got bored (of it and the competition).
With the introduction of the beauty above, the competition’s been resurrected, and man is it heating up. Originally intended as only a concept vehicle, enormous “demand” prompted Toyota to build the FJ on a large scale, but only in North America. Unfortunately, this car is another example of retro gone bad (several design cues reference back to the FJ Land Cruiser from the 60’s). I passed one of these today while minding my own business and nearly drove into a ditch. Fortunately for Toyota, a very intelligent interior and capable off-roading skills makes up for its exterior shortcomings. And I’m sure off-roading is what most owners of this car will do. As long as off-roading means going to the grocery store and the gym.
