Opening Lines

We’re going to have reams of analysis on the BCS Bowl games in the coming weeks, but for the first snapshot, here’s where Vegas has set the lines on each of the games. Lines right now are according to MGM Grand since some of the sportsbooks haven’t set lines yet. As you know, we don’t encourage gambling, especially not with your Christmas shopping money. This information is solely for your amusement.

Rose Bowl: USC is currently a 14-point favorite over the Fighting Zookers of Illinois

Sugar Bowl: Georgia is an 11-point favorite over Hawaii

Fiesta Bowl: Oklahoma is a 6.5-point favorite over West Virginia

Orange Bowl: Virginia Tech is a 3-point favorite over Kansas

BCS Championship: MGM has LSU as a 5.5-point favorite over Ohio State. LSU is between a 4 and 6-point favorite depending on which site you go to.

The lines for the other bowl games haven’t been release yet.

I Didn’t Know I Couldn’t Do That…

We feel bad for Missouri fans, we really do. Of all of the BCS mess- they got the shortest end. They beat Kansas on a quasi-neutral field, beat Illinois on a neutral field, their only losses came to Oklahoma, and yet Kansas and Illinois get BCS at large bids and Missouri is left out. Well, Tiger Nation, we’re here for you. Here’s a little comedy to help pick you up. This is NSFW (not safe for work) and NSFMIL (not safe for mother-in-law).
