In a hunting trip gone bad, as posted at www.withleather.com, a chocolate Labrador Retriever stepped on a loaded shotgun, triggering it and shooting its’ owner fatally. Investigators “found paw prints and mud from the dog” on the gun. If that’s not proof once and for all that Retrievers are the smartest of all dogs, I don’t know what is.
