2009 Michigan Football: Over & Under
We’re slowly getting back into college football mode, and one of the most intriguing topics heading into the 2009 season is the Michigan Wolverines.
As you’ll recall- year one of the RichRod experiment brought the worst season in Michigan football history. There are dozens of questions around what year two will bring, the most important of which is what’s the over/under on wins for 2009.
First, here’s Michigan’s schedule:

*Eastern Michigan
*Indiana
*@ Michigan State
*@ Iowa
*Delaware State
*Penn State
*@ Illinois
*Purdue
*@ Wisconsin
*Ohio State
Based on the schedule above, I see four wins, four losses, and four games that could go either way. Eastern Michigan, Indiana, Delaware State, and Purdue should all be wins. Michigan State, Penn State, Illinois, and Ohio State should all be losses. The remaining four games are pick ‘ems.
As a result of all of that, I’ll set the over/under for wins at 6 games. Feel free to use the poll on the right to vote for how many wins you think they’ll actually win.

Why does everyone want to predict a season months in advance? We don’t even know the Michigan starting quarterback, and you’re predicting the outcome of the season. Give it a rest!

Fair point Mike- I suppose I’m being presumptuous to assume U of M will beat Purdue this year.
Even ardent Michigan fans should acknowledge the degree to which one of the most storied programs in college football recovers will be a key storyline for 2009.
